The Grey-Crowned Crane makes its home on the savannahs in Africa. This is the only crane that makes a rather loud honking sound during courtship by expanding the red flap of skin, called a wattle on its neck. The long feathers on its back are a beautiful blue-grey that really stand out in the sunlight.
